Design Technology is a class that I show a lot of interest in. I enjoy designing typography, learning new tricks on the computer, and building and creating websites. In class, we make websites for several kinds of things. For example, we made one for the school’s comet corner, Halloween themed websites, and a website that we could make about anything. Design Technology is a very fun class because you learn a lot of terms that you have heard of before but never really got to see them eye to eye.

        In class, I made a website about Jackson’s local photographers. I ranked them, and listed contact information. I also put up pictures that they have taken. Making this website was so much fun and I learned so much about making an efficient website. It is important to have a website so it is easier for customers. If they have any questions they could easily look up the business name and find the business hours and location. I chose this work because I thought it was cool exhibit. It shows my effort and hard work.

       The skills I learned from Design Technology will help me enormously when it comes to my work life. When I am a physiatrist and have a private practice, if they have any questions they will see my card and notice a URL. When they see my website, it will automatically attract them. With the skills I have learned in this class, I will know what attracts and doesn’t attract customers. I have to make it flashy, but not too flashy, I will need to insert appropriate pictures, and a biography of me. I will need to show them a reason to trust me. The design technology class will help me succeed.
