Science has always been a subject in which I lacked in. I never fully understood stoichiometry and could never memorize Avogadro’s law. I have had many science teachers who pushed my full potential. My favorite teacher was Mr. Marshall. No one in my class understood Mr. Marshall like I did. They never agreed with his teaching strategies but I actually enjoyed his lessons and I was able to learn a lot the two semesters that I had.

In his class, you had to take notes everyday. As soon as class started I always whipped out my notebook to take notes because everything he talked about somehow related to chapter. Keeping a notebook was a great idea because I was able to look back at it during homework and when I studied for tests and quizzes. I was able to organize my notes so I always have vocabulary on the first page of the chapter, which was very convenient when I needed to look for a definition.  The notes really benefited me when it came to the Exam review. The Exam review was the same amount of points as a test grade. So I really had to double check and make sure that all of the questions were correct. The reviews included multiple choice, short answers, and fill in the blanks. It had all the chapters we went through on it. It really prepared me for the exam.

If I didn’t take notes on every section of every chapter I wouldn’t have been as successful in Chemistry class and it would’ve been very difficult to find answer for the exam review. The exam review really helped me prepare myself for the exam and definitely boosted my confidence when I entered the Chemistry class to begin my exam.

When I’m a therapist, I will use my note taking skills that I learned from chemistry. To be a physiologist you have to pay attention to patients with great detail to make the appropriate diagnosis. I will also use my the skills I got from completing the exam review, if I never did that I wouldn’t know how to be success in something if I didn’t put a lot of time into something. If I can’t figure out what to do with my patient, I will look up her symptoms. In the future, I hope to use these skills in college. To get good grades, I will need to take notes because some classes don’t have textbooks. I will also need to use my exam reviews to do will on mid-terms.
