Exhibit: Sweet Scoops

Benchmark: Individuality

Skill: Hard-working

I’ve worked at Sweet Scoops for about four months now and I absolutely love it there. It makes it easier to love it when I have great co-workers and I am surrounded by ice cream the whole time. I am considered “one of the night girls” because I always have a closing shift during the busy weekends. Being “one of the night girls” is where you start off when you are at your training months. It’s the hardest shift because we are the busiest at night. The workers that have worked there longer usually work during the day and make ice cream cakes. For the last few months I have really proven myself by working hard.

Usually business don’t have minors counting the registers, transferring money to the bank, and the money box, but my boss let’s me. I have permission to work alone, and count the drawer by myself. She told me she gave me this position because I always work hard and she always catches me doing more for the company by asking little things like “would you like to add one more topping for thirty cents” to help boost up the sales.

Being a hard-worker is one of the best skills I could possibly have because that really can catch my boss’s eye. It could potentially move up even further and become a manager when I am eighteen. When I am a therapist, if I work hard and get a lot of things done that will make me look like a great employee. When I am in college, being a hard worker will help me pass hard classes, and help me be the best I could be.
